From Classroom to Post: How Academy Graduates Get Placed

CareersNew Officers

A lot of training programs end the same way: you get a certificate, a handshake, and a "good luck out there." That's not how it works when the academy and the security company share the same leadership.

Your record follows you, not a filing cabinet

Every registration, training date, and certification is entered into BluewaterOS the moment it's issued — the same system Tiburo Security uses to schedule officers and track compliance. That means when a post opens up, your file is already visible to the people doing the scheduling. There's no second application, no re-explaining your qualifications to someone who's never heard of you.

Placement is based on fit, not just availability

Industrial posts, residential communities, and commercial properties each call for a different temperament, not just a body in a uniform. During training, instructors get a real sense of where a new officer is likely to do well — and that informs the first assignment, rather than just slotting people into whatever's open.

You're not thrown onto a post alone

New graduates are paired with site-specific briefings and, on larger contracts, an experienced officer for the first shifts. The goal is that your first day on post isn't the first time you're applying what you learned in the classroom under real conditions with no support.

What if you're not looking for a Tiburo Security post?

That's fine, too. Plenty of officers complete training through Bluewater Security Academy and take their certification elsewhere. The placement pipeline is an option we offer, not a requirement.
